Life Development Strategy: We encourage every believer to maintain a daily,
life-giving relationship with Jesus, participate in a weekly worship service, get
connected in a life group, utilize their unique s.h.a.p.e. by serving in a ministry in the
church, and to find a place of mission where they can share the life of Jesus in the
community.
Purpose Statement: Life Fellowship Community Church exists to bring the people
of West St. Charles Parish and the surrounding areas into a life-giving relationship
with God through Jesus Christ; help them mature in Christ-likeness; to provide
quality L.I.F.E. ministries for the community; and to actively participate in local and
world missions, that Jesus Christ may be glorified!
Affiliation: Life Fellowship views itself first and foremost as an extension of the
ministry of Jesus Christ. It is His LIFE that the church endeavors to share. Next, we
are a community church. We are here to serve the needs of our local communities
with the love and compassion of Jesus regardless of religious or denominational
background.

Beyond that, we humbly affirm and maintain our cooperative fellowship relationship
with the Assemblies of God. Finally, we view ourself as a part of the body of Christ,
united with all true believers, regardless of denominational labels.
The Present: In 2004 it became evident to the family of believers that God was
breathing fresh breath and vision into the congregation. As the church experienced
new growth and new direction, it decided to adopt a new name for the new day. Life
Fellowship Community Church is the name they chose to reflect the life of God that
was at work in the church and community.
History: In 1924 a small group of believers "set in order" the
Bayou Des Allemands Assembly of God. The church was located on
Lake Salvador in Commardelle Village. (You had to get there by boat!)
Later the church building was moved (by barge) to Bayou Gauche and
was renamed Bayou Gauche Assembly of God.

In 1977 a new building was completed at it's current location on Highway 306,
and the church was again renamed Community Assembly of God.
